Psychotherapy - Psychoanalysis - Consultation

We live in complex times, and face complex challenges.

Personal, relational, and societal concerns can come together to create experiences that are hard to bear alone. Psychotherapy and psychoanalysis provide the help, time, and space necessary to navigate the challenges posed by being a human being.

Services Provided

Individual Therapy to address a wide range of issues. If you are new to psychotherapy, or come from a background that doesn’t typically use therapy as a resource, I’d be happy to talk about it further with you to see if it’s right for you.

Contemporary Psychoanalysis is a more intensive modality intended to help you get to the core conflicts that undergird repeating patterns or pain points in life, relationship, and work.

I provide consultation for mental health clinicians, other helping professionals, as well as for groups. I am an experienced educator and clinical supervisor, and regularly conduct professional trainings, presentations, and teach courses pertaining to the clinical psychotherapy, psychoanalytic theory and application, societal trauma (including racial and other prejudicial injury) and other topics. I am presently Associate Faculty at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, and was formerly Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology at the California Institute for Integral Studies, where I also served as Intern Program Director at a postgraduate training site.

I am not available to work with new couples patients at this time.
